Hello my fellow foxes
Wow, June has been a crazy month!
This must be because it marks the middle of the year and everyone is freaking out that half the year is already gone.
Let’s jump straight into the products that have blown me away this past month:
Bvlgari Jasmine Noir EDT (30ml for R650)
I am a perfume hoarder and with so many shiny bottles staring back at me before I leave for work, selecting my scent has become just as hard as choosing my outfit.
Luckily for me, this white floral fragrance has easily become my go-to scent for gloomy days and chilly nights.
It’s not new (it was launched in 2008), but it has stood the test of time for good reason.
It’s an intoxicating potion with a fresh opening of green plants and gardenia petals, a luxurious heart of jasmine and almonds, and a mysterious dry-down of woods, liquorice and tonka bean.
The sillage of this scent is good and it leaves behind a soft, musky trail on my clothing.
Clarins Blue Orchid Face Treatment Oil (R425)
This precious oil is one of my all-time favourite Clarins skincare products.
It’s ideal for dehydrated skin, which is a skin condition that is very different from the skin type of dry skin.
Dehydrated skin, as the name implies, means that your skin is lacking water and your skin will produce more oil to make up for the loss of water, which usually results in breakouts and dry patches.
Hydrating products like this one will restore balance in the skin.
This preservative-free oil has been a life-saver for my stressed-out skin, and I apply a few drops to my face and neck on evenings when my skin needs a moisture boost.
It contains 100% pure plant extracts of rosewood, patchouli, blue orchid and hazelnut oil, and promises to revitalize moisture-depleted skin.
Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream Intensive Lip Repair Balm (R175)
This little guy sits on my bedside table and I coat my lips with it every night before bed.
The original formula of petrolatum (mineral oil jelly) and vitamin E has been combined with nourishing shea butter, palm tree butter, essential fatty acids and soothing arnica flower oil to heal dry, chapped lips.
My lips are noticeably softer and smoother when I wake up.
If you are a fan of the original Eight Hour Cream (who isn’t?) then I would recommend switching to the lip repair balm in winter for a richer formula.
NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Yoghurt
I use this creamy shadow pencil when I’m in a rush (which is every morning if I’m honest 😉 )
With its soft consistency , it glides over my eyelids and I use a finger to quickly blend it in.
The shade reminds me of a pearly rose gold, which compliments my green eyes well.
Another bonus is that it stays put the whole day and doesn’t crease.
Are there any amazing products that you have been using this month?
